ODC Logistics is registered as custom house agent in Kolkata. It also under take custom/port clearance at various sea/air ports in India through their associates in India and neighbouring countries, viz. Bhutan, Nepal & Bangladesh border.

ODC along with associates are backed by experienced and dedicated licensed professionals specializing in clearance for projects cargo starting from project registration till final re-conciliation.

ODC provide valuable inputs to customers on correct documentation and also assist in preparation for expeditor customs clearance.

ODC also provide all assistance for filing and processing claims on behalf of customers including insurance survey etc.

Warehousing is one important element of supply chain management in the process of executing total logistics under door-to-door concept. We undertake intermediate storage and handling where cargo is reworked and made ready for onward transportation.

Packing, repacking and cargo consolidation is case of LCL cargo are undertaken by us at our own / nominated warehouse. A large warehouse complex and logistics hub for multinational company is under implementation near Kona in Kolkata situation on the National Highway no. 6. The warehouse is planned on the total area 100000 sq. meters and would be meet long felt demand both in terms of storage and handling. Complete operation will be IT based and will have warehousing segment for different type of cargo.

The logistics hub will serve as supply and distribution system and will be serviced by our own fleet of distribution vehicles.

Due to lack of proper required infrastructure for transportation of heavy lift cargoes, ODC provides logistics solutions to its customers by providing multimodal transportation by moving National Waterways Route in India.

• Strategic tie up with river and sea barge operators, who owns Flat Top IRS approved registered barges of minimum 2000 DWT & MS act registered IRS approved Towing tug with BOLLARD pur of min 10 MT.
• Construction of temporary jetty for RO-RO Operation.
• Preparation of stowage plan for placement of cargoes on prefabricated MS stools & beams of suitable capacity.
• Tie up with marine insurance surveyor for certification of quality of lashing and packing of cargos on the barge prior to sailing.
• Adherence to required documentation and permissions from Authorities.

The process of transport engineering begins with the preparation of a specific transport plan i which we analyze, calculate, evaluate & optimise the most appropriate customised solution. The process is complementary by direct supervision of loading & transport operation to be carried out during the transport to ensure that our plan are followed throughout the process.

ODC over a period of three decades has gained experience and expertise in inland transportation of project cargoes of ODC / OWC in nature. During the span of 30 years, ODC has been constantly upgraded its fleet of vehicles for transportation in conjunction with the contemporary technologies while adherence to local rules and regulations.

For handling and transportation of OWC/ODC cargoes, a detail feasibility study for safe and smooth transportation is a must before planning transportation of such complex cargoes. ODC through its experienced team conducts route survey from origin point up to the destination keeping in mind the overall height of the loaded cargo from ground level & gross weight of the cargo together with the trailer.

Due to remote locations of project sites & doe to non-availability of heavy duty mobile cranes, ODC has developed skilled team of manpower who are trained to load/unload cargoes of various weights and sizes manually using tested quality of hydraulic jacks, wooden sleepers, winches etc. along with auxiliary services namely: dragging up to the plinth/foundation area and also placement onto the plinth / foundation. In case of non-readiness of plinth temporary storage facilities are also provided.

Due to lack of proper infrastructure for transportation of overweight & out gauge cargoes, ODC undertakes temporary civil work en route by constructing bypasses, refurbishing of damaged roads, widening of turning radius and strengthening of weak culverts / bridges.
